Effort has been made to minimize the post-harvest losses during the transportation of fishery products for the short distance period. Ice was used in insulated bags with fish which helps in lowering the temperature. The insulated bag was made up of three layers, outer resin which does not allowed outside water to come in, middle thermo-foam which worked an insulator material, inner PVC sheet which does not allow inner melted water to come out. Insulated bag maintain fish body temperature 24.10 oC after 6 hrs storage.
