This study investigated the biochemical composition of milt of the snow trout Schizothorax niger in response to different doses of synthetic breeding hormone WOVA-FH. Five biochemical parameters which include glucose, triglycerides, cholesterol, total protein and urea were studied. Fishes were divided into 5 treatment groups and a control group and injected with the hormone @ 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.4 and 0.5 ml Kg-1 body weight. Control was injected with propylene glycol. The results showed a significant rise in the levels of cholesterol, triglycerides and protein in all hormone treated groups where as a significant decrease in urea concentration was observed with the increasing dose of hormone. Glucose only showed a significant increase in groups treated with higher doses of hormone (T3, T4 and T5).
